The study was conducted to gain a better understanding of how farm supply stores implement the cash management techniques necessary in operating a business. The study determined the dominant cash management techniques employed by farm supply stores, and the extent of appropriateness of these cash management techniques in meeting current maturing obligations and optimizing profitability. The study utilized the descriptive survey method. The questionnaire was formulated to generate information. The findings showed that the three cash management techniques to wit: cash flow forecasting, assess funding facility and maintaining optimal balance. It was also revealed that the cash flow forecasting was dominantly used. The paper concludes that the cash management techniques are appropriate in meeting the current maturing obligations and optimizing profitability. Based on the conclusions, it is recommended that the owners/managers of farm supply stores should include the other financial ratios such as days of inventory in forecasting their cash flow. In addition, it is also suggested that the owners/managers of farm supply stores should attend seminars in accounting for non-accountants to widen' their knowledge on bookkeeping and business management.
