Abstract: Payroll system plays an important part in the financial statement in an organizations, entities or businesses, especially in the presentation of expenses for tax purposes and auditing. The study focused on determining the payroll system of Lagawe Multipurpose Development Cooperative, the challenges that the cooperative encountered, and the mechanisms that was employed to address the challenges. The study employed quantitative and qualitative approach through survey questionnaire and semi- structured interview guide questionnaire. Frequency and ranks were also used in the study. The respondents were the staff, manager, and bookkeeper of Lagawe Multipurpose Development Cooperative, La Trinidad Branch. The major problem that the cooperative had encountered is security of the system. And, the mechanism that the cooperative employed is upgrading the system they are using.
